Are you British? No. Everyone’s American. The accents are fake, but the music is real. We say this on stage at every show but people still come up and ask if we’re actually British. It’s like they can’t believe it.
Why do you wear parkas, sunglasses and trainers at shows? To look amazing.
Why is the album called “Yer Welcome”? Because the original Britpop bands stopped putting out good music a long time ago so we thought we’d give it a go. This album is amazingly successful, so if you like Britpop music, “Yer Welcome”.

Band Bio
USPOP are an American Britpop band formed in 2023 in Minneapolis, USA. The group features lead singer Peter Davies, brother and lead guitar player Kent Davies, bassist Grant Hughes and drummer Russel Banks.
USPOP is recognized as the starting point for the American Britpop revival in Minneapolis. The band embraces British popular guitar music of the mid-1990’s that re-surfaced as part of American post-pandemic culture, merging North American themes with British pop iconography to form a self-proclaimed “northern” sensibility in the American indie music scene.
Brothers Peter and Kent Davies started their first band Sunset Drive in high school. Citing creative differences, the brothers broke up after a single gig and went their separate ways. Peter moved briefly to England to play folk music while Kent pursued long-form avant garde solo projects.
After returning to Minneapolis, Peter worked with producer Russel Banks on a folk-rock record, and met session bassist Grant Hughes during a brief stint with local gospel rock group Mercy. Kent and Peter resolved their musical differences in 2023, agreeing on American Britpop as a concept and inviting Hughes to play bass and Banks to play drums. Together, the group quickly developed the concept into original music based on new material from Davies and Hughes.
