USPOP, claiming to be the best American Britpop band in the world, is headlining the notorious, famous, infamous Palmer’s in Minneapolis Friday February 21, 2025. Show is at 9pm, cover $10.
A new American Britpop band, USPOP claims they are better than Oasis. “We play their songs better anyway,” says front man Peter Davies. His brother, lead guitar player Kent Davies agrees: “But we don’t have to play them. Our songs are better. Better than Wonderwall.”
USPOP is led by brothers Peter and Kent Davies. Long-time session musician Grant Hughes plays bass and drummer Russel Banks is a well-known Twin Cities music producer.
Opening is brand new Minneapolis pop-rock outfit danser followed by high energy pop punk group Pageant Dress. USPOP closes out the night.
“Palmer’s sounds amazing and we’re untouchable there,” says USPOP lead singer Peter Davies. “USPOP is loud – a real band. We only play with real bands at loud places. Danser and Pageant Dress are proper. People say that’s arrogant, but it’s true. Best show in Minneapolis that day.”
USPOP is releasing it’s first single “Winter Builds Character” with b-side “Keep Calm and Carry On” in February 2025. It will be available on Spotify, Apple Music and wherever you listen.
